	Welcome! Dedicated to assisting disabled adults, Helping Hands for the Disabled provides an open and caring environment. We commit our energy and resources to advocate for and support a continuum of creative living options. Established in 1975, Helping Hands for the Disabled is a non-profit organization. Currently we have four resident homes: Halcyon, Champion, Visions, and Trail House. Along with providing homes, we provide advocacy and referral services to many families who need services for their handicapped family members. News and Updates. October 14, 2011 - We've updated the auction details and catalog to the website. Check out some of our fantastic donations and plan ahead for November! June 22, 2011 - Please consider going to http://www.seattlefoundation.org/npos/Pages/HelpingHandsfortheDisabled.aspx on Thursday, June 23, 2011 to participate in The Seattle Foundation’s giveBIG event. Every donation made will be amplified by a community pool of funds from The Seattle Foundation. We need your help now, more than ever! We just received notice from the State that our budgets are going to be cut, effective July 1, 2011. We hope that you will consider helping us in this great event! We also help you will spread the word to others so that this can be a successful fundraising campaign. GiveBIG will grow your generosity in several ways: · Grow your gift! The Seattle Foundation and local businesses will match a share of every contribution made through The Seattle Foundation's online Giving Center between 7 a.m. and midnight on June 23. · Win a Golden Ticket! During the day, you could be chosen at random to have Helping Hands for the Disabled receive an additional $1,000 from GiveBIG’s sponsors.
